I help school leaders gather evidence on the two things their boards watch most closely: enrollment, and how satisfied families and staff are. Each project ends with a written brief the leader can give to the board. I also help families and applicants through admissions.

Principals and heads of school

For heads of school, charter school leaders, and boards

Boards hold school leaders accountable for enrollment and for how satisfied families and staff are. I help you gather evidence on both, so you know where your school stands before your next evaluation. Before each interview I tell people what I will share and with whom. Each project ends with a short written brief that you can give to your board. This practice is new, and I do not have client results to show yet.

Enrollment and attrition study
$7,500
fixed fee plus travel, one school

I interview families who left and families who stayed. I review your re-enrollment records and public enrollment data for your area. You receive a written brief on why families leave, which of those reasons your school can change, and what to do first.

Family and staff listening diagnostic
$4,000
fixed fee plus travel

I spend two days in your school, survey families and staff, and interview teachers. You and your teachers see the same findings. You receive a written brief and a debrief, which I can schedule ahead of your board's evaluation.

I am taking founding clients at a reduced fee in exchange for feedback and permission to describe the results. Ask me about it.

Districts and networks

For districts and charter networks

A district or network office needs the same evidence from several schools, gathered the same way, so the results can be compared. I run the enrollment study or the listening diagnostic in each school. I write one brief for the system leader and one for each principal. I quote one fee for the group of schools. I also help districts write federal literacy grant applications, and I quote that fee for each application.

Families

For families and applicants

Families often expect their child's admissions process to work the way their own did, and many assume a school counselor will have time to guide every step. Both assumptions cost students options. I help your child build a list of schools that fit, plan the application year, and prepare essays and interviews. Your child writes every essay, and I coach each draft. Before you pay, I tell you what I think is realistic.

Free for any parent: the monthly evidence check shows what to ask your child's school for each month.

I am taking founding clients at a reduced fee in exchange for feedback and permission to describe the results. Ask me about it.

Teachers

For teachers

If your school is working with me, here is what to expect. I will ask for thirty minutes of your time. Before we talk, I will tell you what I will share and with whom. You will see the same findings your principal sees. I spent six years in middle schools as a teacher and assistant principal, and I think teachers are the most important people in a school.

About

About Kyonne Rowe

I grew up in Canarsie, Brooklyn, in a home of devoted educators. I rode a bus and three trains to Brooklyn Technical High School each day because no schools in my community fit what I needed. I studied labor law and labor economics at Cornell's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Then I spent six years in Brooklyn middle schools: nearly five teaching social studies and literacy, where I also mentored teachers and led staff sessions on student and staff survey data, and then one as an assistant principal in Canarsie. Many of my former students are now college students. They credit their success to the work my colleagues and I did with them as adolescents. We made sure that they and their parents had high-quality educational options in their own neighborhood.

I operate on facts, details, and data, and I try not to rely wholly on ideology. My experience has also given me a few beliefs. I think teachers are the most important people in a school, because teachers build trust with students and families. That role carries great responsibility. I think families should get honest information about how a school is serving their child.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education, and I am completing an MBA at the University of Miami Business School (expected May 2027).
